Desktop Publishing Fall 2023 Assignment 5

For our fifth assignment, we were to make a menu for a real or fictional restaurant.

I used KO Korean Grill, a local Korean fusion restaurant my friends and I frequent. The actual menu features many more items than mine, but I didn’t want to make it overcrowded, so I just included some of the most popular items. I used a template on Canva and just filled in the dishes, prices, and color scheme. I opted not to use dollar signs at my professor’s recommendation, since it reminds the customer that they’re spending money and may make them apprehensive to buy the more expensive items.

My class generally liked this menu, but commented that the blue on the section headers was too dark to see against the background at a distance. Therefore, I edited the section headers so they were a lighter shade of blue, but still didn’t clash too much with the logo’s color scheme.
